The Academy is a catalyst for collective action and pushes for change in members’ own organizations, among decision-makers and by putting social innovation on the agenda.

Cabi is a nationwide non-profit network, knowledge and consultancy working for a socially responsible labor market where people and companies succeed. Cabi has expert knowledge in the field of supported job schemes (flexjob), rehabilitation and trainings and has a special theme about social enterprises on their website.

The Social Investment Fund develops and disseminates social investment programs in the Danish welfare areas. The fund collaborates with public actors, civil society actors, foundations, suppliers and investors to solve specific welfare challenges.

The Social Capital Fund in Copenhagen offers various opportunities for socially responsible companies. This can be direct investment, investment in social impact or a social accelerator program.

DISIE

DISIE supports and scales sustainable entrepreneurs and their business models by developing and delivering online and offline tools, action-oriented knowledge and networks across Denmark. DISIE has departments with office space in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

Fonden for Entreprenørskab

The Foundation for Entrepreneurship is the central national knowledge center and focal point for the development of entrepreneurship in teaching at all levels of education. In relation to social entrepreneurship, the foundation publishes i.a. teaching materials and stands for the Social Enterprise 360 programmet.

Greencubator is located in Nørrebro, where you can rent a work area on either flex or full time and use their facilities. Furthermore, one can use the incubators network and participate in events.

KAB-Tænketanken for socialøkonomis og socialt ansvar

KAB´’s think tank for social economy and social responsibility has been set up by KAB´’s board and aims to support the strategic development of social enterprises, social sustainability and social responsibility as an integral part of the KAB community’s work and daily life.

Kooperationen is located in Copenhagen, and is an interest association for cooperative and social enterprises and associations. As a member, you get access to legal advice, networks and advocacy.

Reach for Change

Reach for Change’s Danish branch is located in Copenhagen, and creates incubator programs for socially responsible companies that work with initiatives in relation to children. By enhancing these existing ideas, they can be scaled to help children in need, in the world.

Rådet for samfundsansvar og verdensmål

Rådet for Samfundsansvar og Verdensmål focus on the opportunities that global goals (SDG´s) offer for Danish companies and contribute to have them become leaders in responsible, social and sustainable business operations. The Council was established in 2016 to replace the Council for Social Responsibility and the Council for Social Enterprises. The Council relaunched with new members in  2021.

Sager Der Samler is an Aarhus – based association that works to create an environment for societal innovation and to contribute to knowledge about active citizenship – both locally and in a larger context. The organization helps entrepreneurs launch their social entrepreneurship.

Selveje Danmark is located in Copenhagen, and is an interest association self-governing institutions in the welfare area. Through conferences, seminars, courses and network, they involve members to develop the field. The organisation also provide legal, organizational and political advice.

Social Entrepreneurs in Denmark is a national association that works to promote and support social entrepreneurship and social  enterprises through the dissemination of knowledge, news and case examples, hostiong a number of different events, collecting data and participating in national and international projects on social entrepreneurship.

Education and research within social entrepreneurship and social enterprises

CBS Center for Civil Society Studies (CfC)

CfC works to create original contributions to the few Danish civil society studies. The center’s analyzes focus in particular on social economy activities, advocacy and the challenges of leaders  of self-governing organizations.

Center for Social Entrepreneurship at RUC (CSE)

The center is a place for competence building for actors, especially in third-sector voluntary organizations, self-governing institutions and NGOs, which are engaged in social innovation processes targeted at the integration of socially disadvantaged groups. The center provides both a master programme and a master’s degree in social entrepreneurship.
