On August 13th 2015 Social Entrepreneurs in Denmark in cooporation with The National Centre for Social Enterprises was hosting a Roundtable meeting on the status for Social Enterprises in The Baltic Region. There was 32 participants.
At the meeting representatives from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Denmark, gave a status on Social Enterprises in their country followed by clearifying questions from the participants to the representatives.
The meeting was part of the events around The ERASMUS+ project ”Social entrepreneurship development in Baltic Sea region”, and at the meeting two of the intellectual outputs from the project was presented:
1. The rapport Social Enterprise Sector Snapshot Around The Baltic Sea. Read the rapport here
2. The publication How to Choose Proper Business Model for Social Enterprise, a new educational material for everyone who wants to start at social enterprise. Read the publication here
Per Bach from Social Entrepreneurs in Denmark welcomed everyone and stressed that the meeting was a rare oppertunity to discuss social enterprises in an interantional context.
Afterwards from Ulrik Boe Kjeldsen from The National Centre for Social Enterprises gave a status for Social Enterprises in Denmark ant told about the tasks of the Centre.

After some clarifying questions for the presenters and a short brake the participants were divided into 4 smaller groups where the following questions were debated:
What are the biggest challenges to be overcome to create more Social Enterprises in The Baltic Sea Region?
Is it possible to cooperate between countries in The Baltic Sea Region to promote Social Enterprises?
Finally there was a short wrap-up with the most important points from the debate.
It was the general opinion that it would be good to continue to build network between the stakeholders in the social enterprise field in the countries around The Baltic Sea, to share knowlege and to look into possibilities for cross-border trade between social enterprises in the Baltic Sea Region.
